It's been awesome. Over and out.... 👊🏻
This epic guy David Sims has just completed the "Snowdon Triple Challenge" to raise funds for the bus. He had to summit Snowdon, cycle 10 miles and finish by kayaking 5 miles!! It was insanely difficult, but David smashed it in around 7 hours, an incredible 2 hours less than the average time!!
David set the goal at £300, but raised an epic £1400!!!!!!!!
We cannot put into words how grateful we are to David for completing this grueling challenge. We have big plans for some changes we hope to make to the bus. Watch this space...
We'd also like to thank every single person that supported David in raising funds for the bus, a huge thank you to Harrap ICT for their incredibly generous donation of £500!!! We cannot express how much this means to us. Thank you so very much to you all.
A-Fest 2018 was an incredible event! There was so much on offer for young people.
We loved meeting loads of new young people on the bus. We hope to see you all again soon!

We had the first of the HOPE18 ACT events - Deeper!
Deeper! is a town-wide youth worship event that we had the original vision for.
The vision is to have a Andover Churches Together project seeing young people from across the town worshipping together and experiencing church with many of their peers.
The evening saw 43 young people come together to worship our Lord in an amazing display of what Kingdom looks like.
Deeper! will be a quarterly event, the next will be in May.
Watch this space for more information.
As a follow up from our summer trip we took a group of young people to Soul Survivor Church in Watford for one of their Saturday celebrations. We all had a great time.

We would like to say a massive thank you from all of us at i:61's Drop in to Stannah, for your much valued support. Your support goes a long way towards the work we do and enables us to maintain sustainability of service for the young people we work with. Also a huge congratulations on achieving 150 years in business this year!
On the 17th March our local MP Kit Malthouse and Cllr Phil North visited the bus. This is what Kit had to say...
"Last week with Cllr Phil North, I visited Drop In, which is is a voluntary run mobile youth project serving hard to reach young people aged 11+ on Friday evenings 7pm-9pm and ages 5+ on Sundays 12pm-1pm throughout the year. As you can see the have a really massive bus, staffed a driven by volunteers from i:61 Church Andover and filled with space to hang out and make friends.
They engage with the young people in the Andover, Hampshire, United Kingdom area to encourage positive lifestyle choices and caring for their overall well-being. Volunteers are able to signpost young people to relevant agencies if required.
I:61 aim to be positive role models, reduce antisocial behaviour and lift the expectations young people have of themselves.
They will be mainly working in the Alamein ward of which is identified in the indices of multiple deprivation 2010 which is in the worst 22% for child poverty and the worst 6% for education and has a higher crime rate compared to other areas.
So Friday nights, the lay by near the skate park on Smannell Road - be there or be square.."
- Kit Malthouse
We have some great news and require your support! We have been selected as one of the chosen charitable organisations for the ASDA green token voting scheme from 1st April and we need your tokens to give us a chance to get the most support for the young people.
Being a team wholly made up of volunteers all donations received go straight into covering running costs for the young people to continue to benefit from.
This morning we joined Cllr Phil North and a group of people from the community in the Great British Spring Clean. We cleared litter from the local park areas, from Roman way to Augusta park. Thank you to the young people who got involved!
We celebrated Drop In's 1st birthday this evening! It was so exciting to reflect on all that's happened over the last year and to look ahead to the next year.
We love seeing so many young people each week, new faces every session.
The last year has been a complete rollercoaster, we feel so blessed and excited to be a part of the journey!
Here's to many more years!!
We supported the Andover Churches Together lantern parade on Picket Twenty estate by taking Hope along. The event was very successful, Pilgrims Cross School offered refreshments in the hall and we introduced ourselves to those who went along for the parade. It was great to have Hope at an ACT event and hope to take part in many more.
Due to fire significantly damaging their store and then taking 3 months to get back up and running with a name change and shop face upgrade Mayur asked if we would support them by taking the bus down for their re launch breakfast morning.
We provided young people with face painting and a chance for others to take a look around the bus.
We are over to moon that Hope is finally mechanically sound and out on the road! We are incredibly thankful to A W Garland for their incredibly hard work since the summer to get Hope ready and road worthy.
The first Drop In session on the 25th November was a great success with young people waiting for us to arrive without any social media announcement.
Week to week we are seeing more new faces as well as building relationships with regular young people attending each week.
We have also loved the first few weeks of holding church on the bus followed by a shorter Drop In session for young people of a younger age who cannot attend the Friday night sessions.
We cannot wait to see what 2017 has in store for Hope....
For further information about our Drop In sessions please click on the "Drop In" tab on contact us if you're interested in coming along to look around or volunteer.
Hosted by our local football club we got to enjoy a fantastic evening watching a fireworks display and most importantly quality time together as a church family
"as a family we go"
We ran an Alpha course on Sunday mornings from October - December. We will be looking to run another course in the near future. Please do get in contact if you would like to take part.
Life is short. Life is an adventure. Life is this. Life is that.
So what do we do? Do we speed up or slow down? Do we quit our jobs and see the world or so we stay put and climb the ladder?
Maybe all that matters is that while we're here on earth, we never stop exploring what it's all about.
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith.
And it's fun.

We joined 8,500 people for Soul Survivor Week B in Shepton Mallet again this year!
It was a truly incredible 5 days. To spend that time in God's presence, and watching many young people start a relationship with Jesus was something not to be forgotten. Every year is different, but every year is phenomenal!
We are so thankful to have been able to share that time together and look forward to getting to Soul Survivor next year.
The official handover of Hope took place on the 2nd August 2016. We could not be more excited about what this means for us as a church and are simply overwhelmed by how God has worked this miracle. We are totally in awe of how awesome he is!!!!! For the full story visit "The Bus" tab...believe us, it's worth the read!!!!!!
We went to the Big Church Day Out in West Sussex from the 28-29th May. Words cannot describe how awesome it was to be in a place with over 20,000 other people worshipping Jesus! On the 20th May we had a visit from Maurice Sweeney (TVCS) and Sarah Fordham (Community Engagement Officer - Children and Young People for TVBC). They came to discuss what Drop In is about and to check that as a youth provision in Andover we are safe to sign post young people to.
We discussed with them our safe guarding policies, our DBS, food hygiene, first aid training and insurance. We are glad that after this visit, we have been assessed as safe to sign post young people to and they were happy with what we are providing, feeling this is of benefit to our community.
We went along to the Eden Network's Proximity conference in Manchester from the 13-14th May.
We had the opportunity to meet up with other Eden associates and hear what God's doing with some of the other teams! We heard from incredible speakers and enjoyed some awesome times of worship. We can't wait to meet up with some of the teams again later in the year.
We were so blessed to be able to go along to the "As Family We Go" concert at the O2 Academy, Bournemouth.
It was an incredible night of worship led by the fantastic Rend Collective. Words cannot explain how incredible the atmosphere was and how the Holy Spirit moved. We hope to see them again soon!
19/12/2015 - On the 19th we hosted a Christmas carol service for everyone in the community to join in. Everyone was welcome to come along and enjoy getting in the festive spirit, singing some carols and sharing mulled wine and mince pies with us. There was nothing cheesy, just a chance to enjoy a festive filled evening together as a community. It's was a free event as a gift from us!
17/11/2015 - With some of our members, we went to the BCNI in Southampton to join in with thousands of people worshipping Jesus! We were led by the incredible Kari Jobe, Cody Carnes & Matt Redman. It was a truly precious evening of intimacy with Jesus, passionately praising Him for all He is!
06/11/2015 - We officially became an associate of the Eden Network, part of The Message family. This is an incredibly exciting step for us and the start of a new chapter. Together we can work together as part of something much bigger to further the kingdom and bring positive change to our community.
31/10/2015 - i:61 Light Party
31/10/2015 - We hosted a Light party as an alternative to Halloween for the community, this was met by a great success as we welcomed over 60 people in attendance from the local area. We also had;
* Face painting

Plenty of Sparkle and Superheroes made a great night and very rewarding for us as we continued to stay obedient to God.
Thank you to all who could make it.
18/10/2015 - Prayer walk
18/10/2015 - Prayer walk, after our morning session we felt we should do a prayer walk so we prayed and asked God to give us divine appointments, to give us names and locations etc. well it was an amazing time as we went in Faith and bumped into 3 of the 5 names we were given and was great to witness people giving without expecting a reward. 2 Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith, not by sight."
17/10/2015 Today we organised a trip for a few of us to join in with a Saturday evening service and worship at Soul Survivor Watford, Talk was based on Isaiah 6 the feeling of experiencing the "Wow" of meeting Jesus, the "Woah" the realisation of not being able to live to God standards and having unclean lips, and then the Go "Here I am, Send Me".
17/9/15 - Today we hosted a Soul survivor style "Saturday Celebration night" at the Longmeadow Centre in Andover.
We had lively worship for everyone to have a sing and a dance, a short talk and some ministry time at the end of the evening for anyone who wanted prayer.

15/08/2015 - 19/08/2015 - Soul Survivor Summer Camp Week B
15/08/2015 - 19/08/2015 Soul Survivor '15 has simply been incredible for i:61. Across the festivals so far 877 people have given their lives to Jesus, and this week one of our guys gave his life to Jesus!!! Could not be prouder of such an awesome guy and that made it all worth it, even camping in the rain!!! To spend 5 days worshipping our saviour and spending time together as a group was phenomenal. To see chains broken, young people throwing themselves into a relationship with the big man (not Mike), and so many healed and made free was something we'll never forget. So much laughter and brilliant memories made. Mike and the team did an awesome job as always, thank you! Here's to next year..... #soulsurvivor15
